Come experience a journey back in time!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

IIL Camps is delighted to offer children aged 8-13 a fascinating dive into prehistory, in collaboration with Fun Archerie. This camp provides a unique immersive experience combining archery, ancestral survival techniques, and creative activities. An adventure where skill, prehistory, and fun come together!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each morning begins with an archery lesson<\/strong>, followed by a variety of manual activities.<\/p>\n

Tuesday<\/strong>: the first day is all about settling in and discovering the site in Cartigny. After a safety briefing, participants will learn how to make fire using percussion and friction<\/strong>. A workshop on mastering fire, essential for survival in the age of cave dwellers. Discovering spear-throwing devices and the spear,<\/strong> the precursors to the bow and arrow.<\/p>\n

Wednesday<\/strong>: cave painting workshop, focusing on animal drawings<\/strong>. Each child will create and take home their own prehistoric-style fresco.<\/p>\n

Thursday<\/strong>:\u00a0jewelry\u00a0and accessory making<\/strong>. An introduction to prehistoric techniques for polishing, drilling and decorating creatine beads.<\/p>\n

Friday<\/strong>: archery competition<\/strong> to end the week on a high note, where everyone can put into practice the skills they learned during the camp.<\/p>\n

A unique, fun, and enriching experience where children can step into the shoes of Cro-Magnon and discover the secrets of prehistoric life and archery techniques.<\/p>\n

Practical information<\/h3>\n

Families must drop off and pick up their children at IIL (Institut International de Lancy).<\/p>\n

An IIL school bus will drop off and pick up children at Cartigny (GE) every morning. An IIL camps staff member will always be present with them.<\/p>\n

8:30am-8:55am: welcome \/ registration at IIL<\/p>\n

9am: departure to Cartigny with IIL bus<\/p>\n

9:30am-10:30pm: 1st part of morning camps<\/p>\n

10:30am-11:00am: snack and break. A morning snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime<\/p>\n

11:00am-12:00pm: 2nd and final part of morning camps<\/p>\n

12pm: Return to IIL by school bus<\/p>\n

12.30 pm: arrival at IIL and end of morning camps<\/p>\n

Children attending morning camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site<\/strong>. Parents are kindly asked to pick them up at 12:30pm at the IIL entrance gate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Should you wish to allow your child to go home alone, please ensure that you send us your written consent by email to iil-camps@iil.ch before the start of the camps; otherwise, we will not be able to allow them to leave IIL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LUNCH OPTIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in an afternoon (PM) camp. Only in this case<\/strong> will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-02:00pm). When registering for this morning camp, you can choose between:<\/p>\n

  • Signing them up for the canteen (additional fee of CHF 84 per week)<\/li>\n
  • Providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee)<\/li>\n
