The pottery workshop is back this summer! A week to shape, create and let your imagination run riot.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dive into a world of creativity and craftsmanship with this manual activity for budding young artists aged 8 to 13, offered in collaboration with the creative haberdasher Augustine & Balthazar.<\/p>\n

For one week, children will get their hands dirty with pottery, working on hand-building, modeling and shaping techniques. They\u2019ll learn the basics of clay preparation and create their own useful objects of their choice, such as plates, bowls, cups, vases, napkin rings, candleholders, and more\u2026<\/p>\n

The instructor will guide them in experimenting with different hand-building techniques, such as coil building, slab construction, and pinching. She\u2019ll also show them how to make impressions on clay, to decorate the objects they\u2019ve created. They\u2019ll also learn how to glue clay elements together using slap.<\/p>\n

This camp encourages personal artistic expression. Children will be invited to find their own style, and express their creativity by freely modeling small objects of their choice. These will then be fired and glased in the Augustine & Balthazar workshop, to make them waterproof. Children can pick them up at IIL once they\u2019ve fired and dried, and take them home as a souvenir!<\/p>\n

1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome\/ registration at IIL<\/p>\n

2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break. An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime<\/p>\n

4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd and final part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

5:00pm: end of camps.\u00a0Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5:00pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Late pick-up option possible, up to 6:00pm: +75chf\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Should you wish to allow your child to go home alone, please ensure that you send us your written consent by email to iil-camps@iil.ch before the start of the camps; otherwise, we will not be able to allow them to leave IIL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in a morning camp (AM). Only in this case will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2:00pm). When registering for the morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between signing them up for the canteen (additional fee), providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee), or picking them up at 12:30pm and bringing them back by 1:45pm (no additional fee).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
