Malhado, our favorite capoeirista, is back to amaze us and share his passion and Brazilian joie de vivre, through these afternoons of Capoeira, specially designed for the very young (5-7 years old).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Capoeira is a dance, martial art, music, wrestling, folklore and philosophy. It is an ancestral Afro-Brazilian art that combines joie de vivre, good humour and sharing to the sound of handcrafted Brazilian instruments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the agenda: warm-up, stretching, technical passages such as kicks or dodges, but also the learning of percussions, folkloric musical instruments and songs in Portuguese\u2026<\/strong> a great moment of sharing and exchange, as this is what capoeira is all about: a mixture of dance, combat (without contact) and games that are practiced to the rhythm of percussion and songs.<\/p>\n

Children will be able to demonstrate and enrich their ability to improvise, create, and dialogue through their body. Group recreational activities will also be part of these exciting afternoons.<\/p>\n

No particular (linguistic or physical) prerequisite is required.<\/p>\n

Practical information<\/h3>\n

1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome\/ registration at IIL<\/p>\n

2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break. An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime<\/p>\n

4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd and final part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

5:00pm: end of camps.\u00a0Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5:00pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Late pick-up option possible, up to 6:00pm: +75chf\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in a morning camp (AM). Only in this case will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2:00pm). When registering for the morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between signing them up for the canteen (additional fee), providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee), or picking them up at 12:30pm and bringing them back by 1:45pm (no additional fee).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
