IIL Camps is thrilled to offer this fun introduction to chess, specially designed for children aged 5 to 7, to discover the \u201cking of games\u201d and its well-known educational benefits.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Guided by Clovis Vernay, International Grandmaster,<\/strong> children as young as 5 will be able to have fun while learning to play, stimulating their concentration and solving problems tailored to their age.<\/p>\n

Each child will receive a workbook covering the basic rules and key introductory themes, allowing them to track their progress and continue learning chess beyond the camp.<\/p>\n

In addition to learning how to play, children may even have the chance to create together the 64 squares of a chessboard and the 32 pieces that make up a chess set. Each day will focus on key themes, such as understanding coordinates to navigate the board, and learning the representation and value of each piece. The sessions are designed to respect the concentration and attention span of young children.<\/p>\n

Chess is a fantastic learning tool, and the creative and playful dimension of this camp makes it even more motivating and enjoyable.<\/p>\n

Practical information<\/h3>\n

1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome\/ registration at IIL<\/p>\n

2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break. An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime<\/p>\n

4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd and final part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

5:00pm: end of camps.\u00a0Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5:00pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Late pick-up option possible, up to 6:00pm: +75chf\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in a morning camp (AM). Only in this case will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2:00pm). When registering for the morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between signing them up for the canteen (additional fee), providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee), or picking them up at 12:30pm and bringing them back by 1:45pm (no additional fee).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
