The Theatre camp offers a playful approach to storytelling through improvisation, illustration, and writing!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This week, children set sail as ship captains on an extraordinary journey to the mysterious islands!<\/strong><\/p>\n

At once adventurers in search of treasure, explorers of new civilisations, and guardians of the marine ecosystem, they will be able to give free rein to their imagination to create and develop the storyline, with \u201cthe mysterious islands\u201d as the central theme.<\/p>\n

Throughout the week, they will explore various techniques needed to tell a story<\/strong> and bring it to life around this theme. They will create scenes inspired by the enchanting world of the islands:<\/strong> adventure, riddles, travel tales and myths\u2026 as well as pirates, hidden treasures\u2026 There is no doubt they will uncover the secrets of these mysterious islands! All aboard!<\/p>\n

Children will be encouraged to use all their senses, discovering how to position themselves and use their voices, body techniques to support their presence, and how to manage emotions through sound, sight, smell and touch<\/strong>. They’ll also try their hand at improvisation and writing,<\/strong> and learn how to articulate their creative universe<\/strong> so they can share it more effectively.<\/p>\n

The programme includes treasure hunts, sensory walks, mime games, improvisation, aural breaks, breathing techniques, work on stage ease and exploring the voice! Children will learn all the tricks of the trade to become storytellers while having fun. At the end of the week, they will present their work in a short performance,<\/strong> which will be filmed on Friday afternoon, and sent to parents as a keepsake !<\/p>\n

This camp will bring together a maximum of 12 participants and will be led by Nathalie Philipps, a professional storyteller and IIL educator experienced with children.<\/strong> It is suitable for children who are at ease with oral expression as well as those who are more reserved, who will find this camp an opportunity to open up and gain confidence in a caring and fun environment.<\/em><\/p>\n

A good command of the French language is a prerequisite<\/strong>, as this camp will be taught exclusively in French. A notebook and pen will be provided for each participant.<\/em><\/p>\n

Practical information<\/h3>\n

1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome\/ registration at IIL<\/p>\n

2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break. An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime<\/p>\n

4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd and final part of afternoon camps<\/p>\n

5:00pm: end of camps.\u00a0Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5:00pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Late pick-up option possible, up to 6:00pm: +75chf\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Should you wish to allow your child to go home alone, please ensure that you send us your written consent by email to iil-camps@iil.ch before the start of the camps; otherwise, we will not be able to allow them to leave IIL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in a morning camp (AM). Only in this case will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2:00pm). When registering for the morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between signing them up for the canteen (additional fee), providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee), or picking them up at 12:30pm and bringing them back by 1:45pm (no additional fee).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
