They will learn step by step the sewing techniques that will enable them to make their own clothes, fashion or interior accessories. Do you want to sew a pencil case? A beach bag? A little skirt? a cushion?

Children will start by choosing the sewing projects of their choice and the fabrics they like. They will then learn how to use a pattern and cut out their fabrics.

Guided by Camille, an experienced professional from the Augustine & Balthazar creative haberdashery, they will gradually be introduced to the use of a sewing machine: threading, making the bobbin, different stitches, learning to sew straight…

As the week progresses and their projects are assembled, they will continue to learn about the sewing machine. The budding stylists will also learn some hand sewing techniques, such as invisible sewing and buttons…

Sewing is ideal for developing independence, mutual aid and self-confidence.
