Ready to travel the world without leaving IIL?<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

In this brand-new camp, children will go on a cultural and dance journey across different countries and continents. Each day, a new destination awaits, bringing its own music, rhythms, dances, costumes and traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83c\uddff\ud83c\udde6 Africa \u2022 \ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf3 India \u2022 \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddf8 Spain \u2022 \ud83d\udc09 Asia \u2022 \ud83c\udf3a Hawaii<\/strong><\/p>\n

The programme is all about dancing, moving, discovering and creating!<\/p>\n

Children will learn the iconic movements and steps of different dances from around the world,<\/strong> discover the instruments<\/strong> and music<\/strong> that accompany them, and learn a short choreography inspired by each country or continent they visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the journey goes beyond dance! Each morning will also include a creative and hands-on workshop inspired by the destination of the day:<\/strong> making a colourful African rain stick, creating jingle jewellery inspired by India, decorating a flamenco outfit, making an Asian dragon, or creating a Hawaiian flower lei!<\/span><\/p>\n

A week to discover the world, explore new cultures, develop creativity and, above all\u2026 dance and have fun!<\/p>\n

This camp is led by Amandine Durand, a state-qualified dance teacher in France and the founder and director of the AD STUDIO school in Ferney-Voltaire. Amandine has been teaching early years dance, ballet and modern jazz to children for over 15 years, and runs workshops in other styles to help enrich the children\u2019s range of movement.<\/em><\/p>\n

This camp is open to both girls and boys. No previous experience is required, all that\u2019s needed is enthusiasm and curiosity!<\/em><\/p>\n

8:30am-8:55am: welcome \/ registration at IIL<\/p>\n

9:00am-10:30am: 1st part of morning camps<\/p>\n

10:30am-11:00am: snack and break. A morning snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime<\/p>\n

11:00am-12:30pm: 2nd and final part of morning camps<\/p>\n

12:30pm: end of morning camps<\/p>\n

Children attending morning camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site<\/strong>. Parents are kindly asked to pick them up at 12:30pm at the IIL entrance gate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

Should you wish to allow your child to go home alone, please ensure that you send us your written consent by email to iil-camps@iil.ch before the start of the camps; otherwise, we will not be able to allow them to leave IIL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LUNCH OPTIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in an afternoon (PM) camp. Only in this case<\/strong> will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-02:00pm). When registering for this morning camp, you can choose between:<\/p>\n

  • Signing them up for the canteen (additional fee of CHF 105 \/ week)<\/li>\n
  • Providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee)<\/li>\n
