This week, IIL Camps offer a manual creative camp to discover the basics of sewing or to perfect your skills!
These relaxing and creative afternoons are designed for children aged 8-12 years old. They will learn step by step the sewing techniques that will enable them to make their own clothes, fashion or interior accessories. Do you want to sew a pencil case? A beach bag? A little skirt? a cushion?
Children will start by choosing the sewing projects of their choice and the fabrics they like. They will then learn how to use a pattern and cut out their fabrics.
Guided by Camille, an experienced professional from the Augustine & Balthazar creative haberdashery, they will gradually be introduced to the use of a sewing machine: threading, making the bobbin, different stitches, learning to sew straight…
As the week progresses and their projects are assembled, they will continue to learn about the sewing machine. The budding stylists will also learn some hand sewing techniques, such as invisible sewing and buttons…
Sewing is ideal for developing independence, mutual aid and self-confidence. At the end of the week, children will be proud to bring home their creations.
A week to develop the creativity and generate enthusiasm for creating things by yourself!

Practical information
1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome/ registration at IIL
2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part of afternoon camps
3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break. An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime.
4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd and final part of afternoon camps
5:00pm: end of camps
Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5pm. If you allow your children to return home alone, please kindly inform us by email, otherwise we will not be able to let them leave IIL.
Late pick-up option possible, up to 6pm: +60chf/week (4 days)
Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.
If you would like your children to stay with us all day, you can register them in a morning camp (AM). In this case, they will be able to have lunch on site (12.30pm-2.00pm). When registering for a morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between registering your children for the canteen (at an additional cost), providing a picnic for lunch at IIL (at no additional cost), or collecting them at 12.30pm and returning them by 1.45pm.

By registering your children for the camps, you acknowledge and fully accept our general terms and conditions, and confirm that they have all the required insurance covers (health, accident and third party liability).

** Image rights: Your authorisation authorises the Institut International de Lancy to publish photographs/videos of your child on the IIL/IIL-Camps website and social networks. Without this authorisation, your child will not be able to appear in the camp photo albums sent to parents. IIL is committed to respecting the individual in the choice of photos it publishes.

Detailed information on each camp will be sent by email. Please note that a minimum number of children is required for the camp to take place. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the camp, and to offer an alternative or a refund.
