An Adventure Through Time!
IIL Camps is delighted to offer children aged 8-13 a fascinating journey back to the prehistoric era, blending survival, art, and tradition, in collaboration with Fun Archerie.
This camp promises a truly unique immersive experience, combining archery, ancient survival techniques, and creative activities. An adventure where skill, history, and fun come together!
What’s on the program?
Two captivating mornings that begin with an introduction to archery, followed by exciting hands-on workshops.
Monday: children will learn how to make fire using percussion and friction, an essential survival skill in the age of cave dwellers.
Tuesday: a journey into ancestral art and storytelling. Through an encounter with a professional comedian and storyteller who lived in Australia for 20 years, children will discover a traditional Australian tale, carried by the mysterious sound of the didgeridoo. Inspired by this ancient culture, they will create their own Aboriginal finger painting, echoing prehistoric cave art and the spirit of humanity’s very first artists. A one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home!
A fun and original experience that brings the ancient world to life while exploring the creative practices of our prehistoric ancestors.

Practical information
Families should drop off and pick up their children at IIL (Institut International de Lancy).
An IIL school bus will pick up and drop off the children every day to/from our partner FUN ARCHERIE in Cartigny. A member of IIL Camps staff will always be present to supervise the children during travel and on site at Fun Archerie.
8:30am-8:55am : welcome/registration of the children at IIL
9am: departure to Fun Archerie in Cartigny with IIL bus
9:30am-12pm: archery & prehistoric workshops camp
12pm: return to IIL with IIL school bus
12:30pm: end of camp. Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate
Children attending morning camps only will not be able to have lunch on site. Parents are kindly asked to pick them up at 12.30pm at the IIL entrance gate.
If you allow your child to return home alone, please send us your written authorisation by email to iil-camps@iil.ch, otherwise we will not be able to let him/her leave IIL.
If you would like your children to stay with us for the whole day, you can register them for an afternoon camp (PM). In this case, children taking part in full-day camps will be able to have lunch on site (12.30-14.00). When registering for this morning camp, you will then be able to choose between registering your children for the canteen (additional cost), providing a picnic for lunch at IIL (free of charge supervision), or collecting them at 12.30pm and bringing them back by 1.45pm.
Please note that registration is for both mornings, Monday 27 AND Tuesday 28 October. For organisational reasons, it is not possible to register a child for only one morning. Thank you for your understanding.
