Welcome to the IT Mornings!

This camp offers curious children aged 8 to 13 an interactive and exciting introduction to the world of digital technologies.

Over 5 mornings, participants will dive into coding, design and artistic tools, discovering how imagination meets innovation.

Monday – 3D-Modeling with MagicaVoxel
Children will learn the basics of voxel 3D design (a voxel being the 3D equivalent of a 2D pixel). They will sculpt colorful models, cube by cube.

Tuesday – Cartoon Animation with Pivot Animator
On this second day, children will bring their stories to life through animation. Using Pivot Animator, they will learn how to move stick figures frame by frame, creating fun and expressive cartoon scenes.

Wednesday – Endless Runner with GDevelop
Participants will take their first steps into game design by creating an “endless runner” game with GDevelop. In this type of video game, the character runs automatically through an infinite environment, aiming to survive and avoid obstacles. Children will discover how to design characters, obstacles, and backgrounds, and then animate them with code to produce an original, playable game.

Thursday – Obby with Roblox Studio
Roblox Studio will allow children to design their own obstacle course, known as an “Obby.” They will learn to combine design skills with coding basics to create fun, challenging, and unique levels.

Friday – Art with Artificial Intelligence using Artbreeder and Leonardo AI
On the final day, children will step into the future of art by experimenting with AI tools. Using Artbreeder and Leonardo AI, they will generate dreamlike images, mix creative styles, and explore how technology can amplify imagination.

At the end of the camp, each participant will have a portfolio of projects that showcase their journey through digital creativity, from 3D modeling to AI-generated art, via game animation and design.

Join us for these IT Mornings and dive into the fascinating world of digital technologies, where every child is encouraged to become both a creator and an innovator!

Children attending morning camps only will not be able to have lunch on site. Parents are kindly asked to pick them up at 12.30pm at the IIL entrance gate.

If you allow your child to return home alone, please send us your written authorisation by email to iil-camps@iil.ch., otherwise we will not be able to let him/her leave IIL.

If you would like your children to stay with us for the whole day, you can register them for an afternoon camp (PM). In this case, children taking part in full-day camps will be able to have lunch on site (12.30-14.00). When registering for this morning camp, you will then be able to choose between registering your children for the canteen (additional cost), providing a picnic for lunch at IIL (free of charge), or collecting them at 12.30pm and bringing them back by 1.45pm.
