Create your own Halloween accessories! 🎃🧵
This autumn, IIL Camps is offering children aged 8 to 13 two creative afternoons to discover the basics of sewing while making their very own Halloween decoration!
Over these two afternoons, children will let their imaginations run wild as they create their own Halloween costume or accessory. Witch, vampire, ghost, fantastical creature… or simply something straight out of their imagination: everyone can choose their own project and personnalise it to suit their style!
They will start by imagining their creation and choosing the fabrics and elements they like. They will then discover the first steps of bringing their ideas to life: using a pattern, measuring and cutting fabric, and gradually learning how to put the different pieces together.
Guided by Camille, co-founder and experienced professional at the creative haberdashery Augustine & Balthazar, children will be introduced to using a sewing machine: threading the machine, winding a bobbin, discovering different stitches and learning how to sew a straight seam.
They will also discover a few hand-sewing techniques and add the finishing touches to their creations: buttons, decorations, colourful details… Everything they need to bring a unique costume or accessory to life, imagined and made by their very own hands!
Sewing is a wonderful activity for developing creativity, patience, independence and self-confidence. And, above all, what a sense of pride it brings to bring home a Halloween decoration that you have imagined and made yourself!

Practical information
1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome/ registration at IIL
2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part of afternoon camps
3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break. An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime
4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd and final part of afternoon camps
5:00pm: end of camps. Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5:00pm.
Late pick-up option possible, up to 6:00pm max : +30chf for the 2 days.
Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.
Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.
If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in a morning camp (AM). Only in this case will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2:00pm). When registering for the morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between signing them up for the canteen (additional fee), providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee), or picking them up at 12:30pm and bringing them back by 1:45pm (no additional fee).

By registering your children for the camps, you acknowledge and fully accept our general terms and conditions, and confirm that they have all the required insurance covers (health, accident and third party liability).

** Image rights: Your authorisation authorises the Institut International de Lancy to publish photographs/videos of your child on the IIL/IIL-Camps website and social networks. Without this authorisation, your child will not be able to appear in the camp photo albums sent to parents. IIL is committed to respecting the individual in the choice of photos it publishes.

Detailed information on each camp will be sent by email. Please note that a minimum number of children is required for the camp to take place. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the camp, and to offer an alternative or a refund.
