We spent 7 days in the rain, but relaxed and in the usual friendly atmosphere.
The bad weather didn’t dampen our spirits!
This autumn edition of IIL Camps featured our new WOODWORKING WORKSHOP camp. The 8-13 year-olds were able to experiment sawing, nailing, sanding, cutting and screwing… Supervised by the experienced and passionate professionals from our partner Knock on Wood Crafts Factory, they set about making their own individual projects, with great enthusiasm.
And while we’re on the subject of creativity, let’s also take a look at our SEWING workshop. Our apprentice “stylists” were able to familiarise themselves with the sewing machine and make handbags, sweatshirts, cuddly toys, scrunchies, neckbands and other fashion and home accessories, under the expert and sympathetic guidance of our partner, the creative haberdasher Augustine & Balthazar.
Sport, as always, is also a feature of the IIL Camps’ offer. Netball, parkour, rugby, aikido, boxing, basketball, ping pong and capoeira, all provided opportunities for children to burn off steam and have fun as a team.
Finally, the end of October means Halloween! And of course we didn’t fail to honour all the ghosts, monsters, pumpkins and spiders!
A BIG THANK YOU to all the children and to our amazing partners for this crazy week!
See you from 19 to 23 February 2024 for the next winter edition of the IIL Camps. Until then, stay tuned and follow us on facebook and Instagram for regular updates.
See you soon!
