Mini-tennis is back at IIL Camps this Summer!
Ready for a fun adventure with the yellow ball?
IIL Camps is delighted to offer an introductory tennis camp for little ones, in collaboration with the Plan-Les-Ouates Tennis Club (TC PLO).
Children, aged 4 to 7, will have the chance to enjoy five mornings with passionate and expert coaches, to learn about tennis in a fun and instructive spirit. The coaches, trained in teaching the very young, will help children develop their coordination and motor skills, and teach them their first tennis strokes (backhand and forehand).
Special features of mini-tennis include:
- Specific equipment, with adapted balls (bigger, foam, less bouncy, etc.).
- Coordination work through games
- A fun way to learn how to position yourself correctly, have the right support and a good racket control
- Progressive skill development, adapted to each child’s motor skills
This camp will enable young children to discover this racket sport, and also to familiarise themselves with sporting values.
Come run, hit, have fun… and maybe discover a new passion! We look forward to seeing you on the courts!
Pre-requisites: children can bring their own racket if they have one, if not, the tennis club can provide some. All balls will also be provided by the TC PLO. It is essential to come in sportswear (jogging trousers or shorts) and trainers.

9am: departure to the Tennis Club with IIL school bus
9.45am-11.45pm: Mini Tennis camp
12pm: Return to IIL with school bus
12.30 pm: arrival at IIL and end of camp
A morning snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children.
Children attending a whole day of camps will be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2pm).
Children attending morning camps only will not be able to have lunch on site. Parents are kindly asked to pick them up at 12.30pm at the IIL entrance gate.
If you would like your children to stay with us for the whole day, you can register them for an afternoon camp (PM). In this case, children taking part in full-day camps will be able to have lunch on site (12.30-14.00). When registering for this morning camp, you will be able to choose between registering your children for the canteen (additional cost), providing a picnic for lunch at IIL (free of charge), or collecting them at 12.30pm and bringing them back by 1.45pm.
