Come and cool off on the Geneva lake and discover Stand Up Paddling (SUP) !

During this week, teenagers aged 9-15 y.o. will take paddleboard lessons with a qualified Tropical Corner instructor and learn how to stand and balance on a SUP. They will be introduced to the precision of the technique, learn to manage strength and speed. With their group, they will take to the water and go for a ride on the lake, discovering its many facets.

SUP is a complete sport and a lot of fun ! This camp is supervised by Bryan, an IIL sports coach, and the lessons will be taught by a qualified instructor from Tropical corner, a windsurf and paddle school located near Genève Plage.

Full equipment will be provided (SUPs and life jackets) to all participants. The return trip to the lake will be organised with IIL school bus. Children should bring a rucksack with a swim suit, towel, a change of clothes adapted to weather, a cap, sun cream and sunglasses.

Prerequisites: children must know how to swim to participate in this camp. A written confirmation from parents will be requested at the time of registration. In case of bad weather (light rain), the activity will be maintained.

Practical information

Families must drop off and pick up their children at IIL (Institut International de Lancy).

An IIL school bus will drop off and pick up children at/from the lake every afternoon. An IIL camps staff member will always be present with them.

1.45pm-1.55pm: welcome of children at IIL

2pm: departure to the lake with IIL school bus

3pm-4:15pm: SUP Class with a qualified instructor from Tropical Corner, packing up of equipment and dip in the lake.

4.30pm: Return to IIL with school bus

5.00pm: arrival at IIL and end of camp

An afternoon snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children.

Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5pm. If you allow your children to return home alone, please kindly inform us by email, otherwise we will not be able to let them leave IIL.

Late pick-up option possible, up to 6pm: +75chf/week

Children attending afternoon camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site beforehand.

If you would like your children to stay with us all day, you can register them in a morning camp (AM). In this case, they will be able to have lunch on site (12.30pm-2.00pm). When registering for a morning camp, you will indeed be able to choose between registering your children for the canteen (at an additional cost), providing a picnic for lunch at IIL (at no additional cost), or collecting at 12.30pm and returning them by 1.45pm.
