Immerse yourself in the magic of winter with our Theatre & Improv camp!
Are you between 6 and 11 years old, have the soul of a storyteller and love stories? Do you dream of expressing yourself on stage? Then our special ‘Winter Stories’ theatre and improv camp is for you!
In a warm and friendly setting, you’ll be introduced to storytelling in a fun way, through acting, improvisation and exploration of the senses.You’ll learn how to build captivating stories and bring your own creations to life on stage. Through dynamic workshops, you’ll plunge into the world of improvisation by exploring the various techniques needed to tell a story and give it depth.
You’ll be encouraged to use all your senses, discovering how to position yourself and use your voice, body techniques to support your presence, and how to manage your emotions through sound, sight, smell and touch. You’ll also try your hand at writing and learn how to articulate your creative universe so you can share it more effectively. The programme includes treasure hunts, sensory walks, mime games, improvisation, aural breaks, breathing techniques, work on stage ease and exploring the voice!
In the middle of winter, there’s nothing like getting together to express yourself, laugh and play! This camp is the perfect place to bond, share and warm your soul with inspiring creations! The camp will end on a high note with a short performance that will be filmed and sent to parents, giving you the chance to shine in the spotlight for a while and show off your talents to your family!

This camp will bring together a maximum of 12 participants and will be led by Nathalie Philipps, professional storyteller and experienced educator with children. The camp is suitable for children who are comfortable with oral expression as well as those who are more reserved, who will find it an opportunity to open up and gain confidence in a caring and fun environment. Children will learn all the tricks of the trade to become storytellers while having fun.
A good command of the French language is a prerequisite for this camp.
A notebook and pen will be provided to each participant.
Practical information
1:45pm-1:55pm: welcome/ registration at IIL
2:00pm-3:30pm: 1st part afternoon camps
3:30pm-4:00pm: snack and break
4:00pm-5:00pm: 2nd part of afternoon camps
5:00pm: end of camps
Afternoon snacks are provided by IIL Camps prior to playtime.
Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children at the IIL entrance gate, at 5pm.
Late pick-up option possible, up to 6pm: +75chf/week
Children attending a whole day of camps will be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-2pm).
Children attending afternoon camps only will not be able to have lunch on site.

By registering your children for the camps, you acknowledge and fully accept our general terms and conditions, and confirm that they have all the required insurance covers (health, accident and third party liability).

** Image rights: Your authorisation authorises the Institut International de Lancy to publish photographs/videos of your child on the IIL/IIL-Camps website and social networks. Without this authorisation, your child will not be able to appear in the camp photo albums sent to parents. IIL is committed to respecting the individual in the choice of photos it publishes.

Detailed information on each camp will be sent by email. Please note that a minimum number of children is required for the camp to take place. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the camp, and to offer an alternative or a refund.
