Come experience a journey back in time!
IIL Camps is delighted to offer children aged 8-13 a fascinating dive into prehistory, in collaboration with Fun Archerie. This camp provides a unique immersive experience combining archery, ancestral survival techniques, and creative activities. An adventure where skill, prehistory, and fun come together!
Each morning begins with an archery lesson, followed by a variety of manual activities.
Tuesday: the first day is all about settling in and discovering the site in Cartigny. After a safety briefing, participants will learn how to make fire using percussion and friction. A workshop on mastering fire, essential for survival in the age of cave dwellers. Discovering spear-throwing devices and the spear, the precursors to the bow and arrow.
Wednesday: cave painting workshop, focusing on animal drawings. Each child will create and take home their own prehistoric-style fresco.
Thursday: jewelry and accessory making. An introduction to prehistoric techniques for polishing, drilling and decorating creatine beads.
Friday: archery competition to end the week on a high note, where everyone can put into practice the skills they learned during the camp.
A unique, fun, and enriching experience where children can step into the shoes of Cro-Magnon and discover the secrets of prehistoric life and archery techniques.

Practical information
Families must drop off and pick up their children at IIL (Institut International de Lancy).
An IIL school bus will drop off and pick up children at Cartigny (GE) every morning. An IIL camps staff member will always be present with them.
8:30am-8:55am: welcome / registration at IIL
9am: departure to Cartigny with IIL bus
9:30am-10:30pm: 1st part of morning camps
10:30am-11:00am: snack and break. A morning snack is provided by IIL Camps to all children prior to playtime
11:00am-12:00pm: 2nd and final part of morning camps
12pm: Return to IIL by school bus
12.30 pm: arrival at IIL and end of morning camps
Children attending morning camps only will NOT be able to have lunch on site. Parents are kindly asked to pick them up at 12:30pm at the IIL entrance gate.
Please note that from now on, any delay in collecting your children will result in a charge of CHF 10 per child for every quarter of an hour or part thereof. Thank you for your understanding.
Should you wish to allow your child to go home alone, please ensure that you send us your written consent by email to iil-camps@iil.ch before the start of the camps; otherwise, we will not be able to allow them to leave IIL.
LUNCH OPTIONS
If you would like your child to stay with us for the full day, you may enroll them in an afternoon (PM) camp. Only in this case will they be able to have lunch on site (12:30pm-02:00pm). When registering for this morning camp, you can choose between:
- Signing them up for the canteen (additional fee of CHF 84 per week)
- Providing a packed lunch every day for them to eat at IIL (supervision and activities included, no additional fee)
- Picking them up at 12:30pm and bringing them back at 1:45pm (no additional fee)

By registering your children for the camps, you acknowledge and fully accept our general terms and conditions, and confirm that they have all the required insurance covers (health, accident and third party liability).

** Image rights: Your authorisation authorises the Institut International de Lancy to publish photographs/videos of your child on the IIL/IIL-Camps website and social networks. Without this authorisation, your child will not be able to appear in the camp photo albums sent to parents. IIL is committed to respecting the individual in the choice of photos it publishes.
*** specific medical conditions: a nurse will contact you to discuss your child’s treatment.
Detailed information on each camp will be sent by email. Please note that a minimum number of children is required for the camp to take place. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the camp, and to offer an alternative or a refund.
